How it all started...
Although The Refuge Church is only a few months old the story started more that 35 years ago. Our Story started with a group of committed believers who desired to have a church founded on the truths of the Bible. This vision soon birth Southside Baptist Church located at our Pine Street location. After decades of faithful service to the community and the membership the church voted in June 2021 to take a new bold step and become The Refuge Church. While somethings have changed and are changing we are still a church that is founded on the truths of scripture. The Refuge Church seeks to become a force for Christ in Muskingum County
